Looking like rain in Ecuador

For my expedition, I will be at the northern edge of that big blue dot:  the heaviest annual rainfall in all of Ecuador.  4501-5000mm of rain is roughly 175-200 inches annually.  Great for bugs.

One thing that I've found really fascinating about this is that while Ecuador is a megadiverse country (that little country has the same amount of animal diversity as the entire North American continent), there is still so much to be measured for insects.  There are many, many varieties that haven't been discovered yet.
